Microsoft Office Vision

As Gruber points out, this video is exactly what’s wrong with Microsoft. What I think is interesting is that the Office applications shown throughout the video don’t even accurately represent the direction in which Office is headed. The current Office UI has adopted a cluttered (though separated into ribbons) interface. In Windows 8, these ribbons have started to move outside of Office and into Windows Explorer and other base applications. Within 5 years (1 or 2 Office releases), does Microsoft really expect Office to undo all of these changes?
