25 Random Things About Me

Yes, I got suckered into this on facebook.

1) I never participate in chain-like emails or messages. Not sure how I got sucked into this one.

2) Sometimes when I think of something funny in my head I’ll repeat it out loud to myself because it’s always funnier that way.

3) I strongly believe funner and funnest should be words. So much so that I own http://funner.org

4) I love chicken flavored Maruchan Ramen Noodles to an unhealthy degree.

5) After my 21st birthday, I became a vegetarian. It only lasted a year. Probably because vegetable ramen just didn’t cut it.

6) I follow over 120 blogs, with Google Reader, of prolific people and businesses and I am reading 7 books right now. I don’t know why I can’t wait until I finish one to begin another.

7) Some historical/present figures I admire are: Henry Ford, Albert Einstein, Howard Hughes, Ernest Hemingway, Ayrton Senna and Steve Jobs.

8) Since I was in high school I’ve always wanted to start my own business. When I was a junior, I heard a name on the radio during a really lame pop song that I thought was ‘edge 14’. I thought it sounded cool and so I incorporated under that name. I later found out the song says “age 14”.

9) I can’t ever drink Southern Comfort again.

10) Every time I smell Cinnabun I have to eat it. Every time I do, I feel sick.

11) I interviewed, took the tests and got all of the letters of recommendation to go to MIT after high school but I never finished submitting all of the paperwork.

12) I study the night before almost every exam I take and I tell myself each time that it won’t happen again.

13) I started a website in college (izzonesucks.com) to protest new seating regulations during basketball games and it appeared in the State News and the Lansing State Journal. (http://statenews.com/index.php/article/2005/01/Izzoned_out)

14) Tom Izzo called my dorm room about the website and we talked for a half hour. I was really nervous.

15) I love learning but I have always hated school.

16) In Calculus class in high school I did a lot of the math in my head and didn’t write it down on the homework. One time the teacher called me out on it and asked me to do some problems on the blackboard in front of class. I got nervous and couldn’t do it. I didn’t get credit for the assignment.

17) I played baseball every day throughout elementary school and I thought I wanted to be a pro baseball player. I played chess everyday during middle school and I thought I wanted to be a grandmaster. In high school I had no idea what I wanted to do.

18) I want to watch a Formula 1 race in Monaco one day.

19) I would also like to test drive an F1 car.

20) I still have no idea what it means to be successful and I think I never will. I think when it happens though, I will just feel it.

21) If they allowed guests on sail boat races I would be the first to sign up.

22) I hate the feeling of regret you feel before you are about to do something really crazy. But I love the feeling of accomplishment you get after you do it.

23) I love stories of people who have overcome great adversity or endured great punishment to accomplish something because it always makes me wonder if I could have persevered under similar circumstances.

24) I enjoy posh things but I despise posh attitudes.

25) I love singing in the car except I am so bad, I turn up the music really loud so I can’t hear myself.
